  • The most auspicious place in Haridwar is the Har ki Pauri, which is believed to be the Ganges' exit point from the mountains. From here, the Ganges enters the plains. It is called the Brahma Kund, as legend has it that this is where a drop of amrit fell on earth when Garuda was carrying the Elixir of Eternal Life after Sagar Manthan, or the Churning of the Ocean.

  • Later, you will proceed to Rishikesh. This holy city is situated at the confluence of the Ganga and the Chandrabhaga Rivers. Hindus believe that a dip in the Ganga river here washes all sins. Don’t miss the Triveni Ghat Aarthi, where the three holy rivers, i.e., the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswathi, converge.
